Have a try at being the lighthouse keeper, with your very own key to the lighthouse included in the rent! In the Assistant’s House, there are two lighthouse apartments which are named Myrsnipa (the Dunlin) and Skarven (the Cormoran). The apartments are located in the lighthouse area, at the foot of the lighthouse itself, in sceninc surroundings in South West Norway.

During your stay at Lista Lighthouse you can rent electrical and regular bicycles, and experience West Lista by bike. The Vita Velo bicycle route offers a variety of nature and cultural experiences by bike. The route goes through "Selected cultural landscape", from the flat Lista plains to raw and hilly mountain landscape in the far West. While staying at Lista you can also join Lista Bird Observatory in ringing of birds, or go for a bird-safari with local guides. Lista has the most observed bird species in all of Norway.

Lista is an area in Farsund with ten kilometres of long sandy beaches with the possibility of a wide range of activities from surfing to bird watching. The Lista coastline has the most popular beaches in the South West of Norway.

Close to the apartments, you will find one of the few Coastal Forts built by the Germans in World War 2. Nordberg Fort is one of the few coastal forts that is preserved in its original form, and protected as cultural heritage.

Follow the path 400 meters from Nordberg Fort and you will find yourself at Penne. The path continues towards Lista lighthouse.
At Penne you'll find rock carvings from the Bronze Age.The large site consists of 22 boat figures and 60-70 ceremonial cup-marks. In the area you'll find remains of a farm dating back to the Migration Period (400-550 A.D.).
