Cancellation policy:
Standard rate (1 up to 5 rooms): Cancellation is free of charge 14 days before arrival.
Standard rate (6 rooms or more): Group cancellation policy applies: cancellation free of charge up to 4 weeks before arrival, cancellation made less than 4 weeks notice will be charged in full.

Check-in: Check in starts at 16:00 (4pm).
Early check-in is based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Guests must be 18 years old to check-in at Hotel Vík í Mýrdal. Guests are required to confirm their identity by providing their valid government-issued photo identification at check-in.
Check out: Check-out time is until 11:00 (11 am). If you require a later checkout, please contact Front Desk before the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A charge may apply for late checkouts.
Extra bed policy: All extra beds are subject to availability. Extra beds are
provided for an additional cost depending on the season and is sold with breakfast included.
Children’s policy: Hotel Vík í Mýrdal is family-friendly and can provide baby cribs, high chairs, etc. All children 6 years and younger stay for free when using existing beds, max 1 child per room.
Smoking Policy: For the health, safety, and comfort of our guests, all rooms
and other indoor areas are non-smoking. Indoor smoking is subject to a 35.000 ISK penalty.
Noise/disturbance policy: To ensure a restful stay for all of our guests, parties and
loud gatherings are not allowed in the Hotel Vík í Mýrdal guests rooms or hallways.
Hotel Vík í Mýrdal values its guests and enforces a strict policy on noise and disturbance. Guests who violate this policy with excessive noise, overcrowding in rooms, or parties will be evicted without a refund. No noise hours are between 23:00 – 07:00 (11 pm-7 am)
Room damages/Missing Items: Hotel Vík í Mýrdal reserves the right to charge guests for any damages or missing items: the amount it costs to replace an item or return a room to its original state.
Confirmations of reservations: Hotel Vík í Mýrdal always sends an email confirmation for a confirmed reservation. Once a booking is confirmed, the price is locked down and no alterations might affect the prices.
