Welcome to Reykjavík city and to Hotel Hilda. Our little family owned hotel in down town Reykjavík is the perfect base for your stay in the city. Located only 2 minute walk from the Ingolfstorg city square, Austurstræti street and close by is Laugavegur the main shopping street. The hotel is about 5 minute walk to the harbor area. The hotel is located at Bárugata which is a cute little street in the heart of the city. It takes you only 2 minutes to walk to the city square and 5 minutes to the harbor area. There are endless of restaurants, micro brew bars and pubs around, however the hotel is in a quiet street so you can make sure to get a good night sleep! There is an elevator for luggage and disabled people in the building (not wheelchair accessible). Housekeeping is included. There is no need for you to arrive by a car, however if you do there is prepaid parking on the street and the street is a one way street. Parking is only prepaid on weekdays from 9am-6pm and Saturdays from 10am-4pm. Other hours and days are free of charge. Public transportation in Reykjavík is called Strætó and there is a bus stop about 10 min from the hotel. The Bus stop is called "Stjórnarráð" For Airport transfer or tours and activities the nearest pick up/drop off point is called: Bus stop 1 - Ráðhúsið -City Hall. There is a reception open and staff onside from 9am-5pm during the day, otherwise you can always contact our booking office 24/7 via email or a phone call.
